While hearts may be heavy,
That this year is done,
Today was a marker,
Of what is yet to come.
It’s not the result,
That anyone would choose,
By a single point,
No-one wants to lose.
But from attack,
All the way through to defence,
All of Ducky’s men,
Were truly immense.
Of today’s loss,
We start to think less,
But focus instead,
On the incredible success.
On the national stage now,
Our boys have been seen,
And from no’s 1-15,
No prouder could we have been.
The Galway County Champs,
Of 2024,
Have left us all now,
Thirsty for more.
So, for one last time this season,
We all just want to say,
Thank you for the good times,
And “C’mon Loughrea”.
